KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Washburn Lady Blues tennis team fell 6-3 to Rockhurst on Thursday afternoon in Kansas City. The Lady Blues will return to action on Friday against Lindenwood in MIAA play.

Washburn took a 2-1 lead into singles play after the No. 1 team of Jodie Blackim and Kirsten Holle picked up an 8-5 win while the No. 2 duo of Gwen Shepler and Sophie O'Neill won their match 8-4.

O'Neill picked up the Lady Blues' lone win in singles play at No. 1 topping Alex Schelble 6-3, 6-2.
