TOPEKA, Kan. -- The No. 50-ranked Washburn Ichabods won their fourth-straight match with an 8-1 win over Lindenwood in their first MIAA match of the season. The Ichabods will face East Central on Saturday at 10 a.m.
The Ichabods swept doubles play to open the match as
Arek Kozaczuk and
Steven Fletcher won their match at No. 1 doubles 8-4 while
Pascal Laucht and
Thilo Schlenker picked up an 8-2 win at No. 2.
Bobby Florence and
Chance Joost completed the sweep with their 8-6 win at No. 3 doubles.
In sinlges, Washburn picked up straight set wins at No. 2 by Schlenker, at No. 3 by Laucht, No. 4 by Fletcher, No. 5 Florence and No. 6 Joost leading to the 8-1 team win.
