TOPEKA, Kan. -- The Washburn Lady Blues dropped a 6-3 decision to the Lindenwood Lions on Friday in MIAA action at the Kossover Tennis Center. Washburn returns to the court to face East Central in non-conference play on Saturday at 10 a.m.

The Lady Blues let a 2-1 lead after doubles play slip away after the No. 1 team of Kirsten Holle and Jodie Blackim won their match 8-2 while Sophie O'Neill and Gwen Shepler won their match at No. 2 doubles 8-2 as well.

However the Lions stormed back in singles play as O'Neill was the only Lady Blue to pick up a win as she won her No. 1 singles match 6-2, 6-2 over Adela Slovakova.
