TOPEKA, Kan. -- The Washburn Lady Blues tennis team fell 5-2 to Northwest Missouri on Thursday at Wood Valley Tennis Center. The Lady Blues will return to MIAA play on Friday when they host Truman at 2 p.m. on the Washburn Tennis Courts.

Washburn trailed 2-1 after doubles play as the duo of Sophie O'Neill and Casyn Buchman blanked Gisela Font and Natalia Galindo 8-0.

The Lady Blues' other point came at No. 2 singles where Buchman topped Galindo in straight sets 6-3, 6-4.
