TOPEKA, Kan. -- Washburn's Gwen Shepler picked up a super tiebreaker win propelling the Lady Blues tennis team to a 5-4 win over William Jewell. Washburn will complete the regular season at Southwest Baptist on Tuesday.

Shepler won her match at No. 5 singles 1-6, 6-3 and 10-7 clinching the match for Washburn. Washburn lifted its record to 5-14 while William Jewell fell to 17-6. 

Washburn was up 2-1 after doubles play as Jodie Blackim and Kirsten Holle won their match at No. 1 doubles over Kristen Stivers and Katy Lehenbauer 8-3. Casyn Buchman and Sophie O'Neill won their match 8-2 at No. 2 doubles over Loree and Conner Hazelrigg.

Buchman defeated Savannah Drew 6-4, 6-2 at No. 2 singles while Blackim topped Hana Lindbloom 6-1, 6-1 at No. 3 leading to Shepler's win over Loree Hazelrigg at No. 5 singles.
