TOPEKA, Kan. -- The Washburn Lady Blues tennis team fell 8-1 to No. 27-ranked Midwestern State on Friday at the Kossover Tennis Center. The Lady Blues will return to action on Saturday at 10 a.m. against Fort Hays State in MIAA play.

After being swept in doubles play, the Lady Blues' Sophie O'Neill picked up a straight-set win at No. 1 singles win over Sarita Adhikary 6-1, 7-6 with a 7-4 score in the tiebreak for Washburn's only win.
