TOPEKA, Kan. -- The Washburn Lady Blues let a 2-1 doubles lead slip away as they fell 6-3 to Nebraska-Kearney on Sunday at the Washburn Tennis Courts. Washburn will host Northwest MIssouri on Wednesday in Topeka.

Washburn opened with Jodie Blackim and Kirsten Holle picking up a 9-7 win at No. 1 doubles over Vanessa Gunawan and Heather Connolly while Sophie O'Neill and Casyn Buchman beat Britni Norfolk and Kristin Weems 8-5.

However the Lady Blues only had one win courtesy of Blackim's 7-5, 6-1 win over Norfolk at No. 3 singles scoring Washburn's third and final point of the afternoon.
