TOPEKA, Kan. -- The Washburn Ichabod soccer team and Augustana played to a tie for the first 108:44 of the match, but the Vikings scored a late goal to take the 1-0 double overtime win. Washburn (1-3) will be back in action on Sunday against Colorado Christian at  noon in Yager Stadium.

In the 108th minute of the match, the Vikings' Stephanie Stevens hit Katie Hurd from on a pass from the left side and Hurd connected from 10-yards out into the upper right hand corner of the net for the golden goal.

The Vikings outshot the Ichabods 18 to 7 in the match with both teams attempting three shots in the overtime periods. Cadence Bourne had three shots along with Danielle Curtis to pace the Ichabod attack. Bourne had two shots on goal to lead Washburn. Tori Fuglister had seven saves in net for Washburn. Ashley Limmer picked up the shutout win for Augustana.

Maren Werth had seven shots and three on goal to lead the Vikings.
