EDMOND, Okla. – The 13th-ranked Ichabods gave up the first point Saturday at Central Oklahoma but never trailed again in a 25-17, 25-17, 25-19 win to finish a perfect weekend on the road.

Washburn improved to 13-3 (3-0 MIAA) with its sixth straight win. The Ichabods will be idle next week during the midweek and then host two matches during the weekend. They'll start Friday at 7 p.m. against Fort Hays State.

Leanna Willer had her eighth double-double with team highs of 16 kills and 10 digs.
Marissa Cox had 10 kills and led all attackers with a .333 percentage.
Courtney Churchman and
Sami McHenry also had 10 digs.

Abby Wittman led with 31 assists and Cox and
Sarah Vicory each had three blocks.

The Bronchos (11-3, 3-2 MIAA) scored first in the match but Washburn followed with a 6-0 run and never trailed again. UCO did use a 4-0 run in the second set to tie it at 8-8 but Washburn followed that with a 6-0 run to pull away. Willer and Vicory each had two kill during the run.

Washburn all but solidified its sweep with a 7-0 run to start the third set. The Bronchos later got within four but a 7-2 run gave the Ichabods an 18-9 lead.

Washburn hit .214 and kept the Bronchos to a .060 attack percentage. UCO led in blocks 9-7. Sabetha Young led UCO with 11 kills and Juliette Smith had six blocks.
