TOPEKA, Kan. – Washburn outscored Benedictine 48-4 in the paint on the way to a 62-32 win Tuesday night in the home opener at Schendel Court in Lee Arena.

The Ichabods improved to 3-0 and will now get set to host third-ranked Drury Saturday at 7 p.m.

Dana Channel had her second double-figure rebounding game this year with 10. She added four points and two assists.
Taylor Ignoto scored in double figures off the bench for the third straight time with 11. She was 3 of 8 from the field and 5 of 6 from the free throw line.
Honor Duvall went 6 of 8 from the field for a team-high 12 points.

Benedictine took a 16-15 lead with 9:46 remaining in the first half but didn't score another field goal until two and a half minutes into the second half. Washburn took advantage of the Ravens' drought from the field by going on a 12-0 run to lead 27-16 with 4:15 to go in the first half. The Bods went into the locker room up 31-19 at halftime.

They shot just 37 percent in the first half but responded by shooting 48 percent in the second half. Benedictine remained cold, making just three field goals in the second half and scoring just 13 points.

Washburn shot 43 percent overall while the Ravens shot 17 percent. The Ichabods were just 1 of 14 from 3-point range but made 11 of 15 free throws. Benedictine hit six 3-pointers and was 8 of 11 from the free throw line. The Ichabods led in rebounds, 45-34 and in assists, 15-4.

Haley Pfau set a career high with five assists to lead the Ichabods. She added five points.
Jayna Smith grabbed eight rebounds off the bench and
Casyn Buchman had seven points and three rebounds.

Duvall got into early foul trouble and played just two minutes in the first half. She came out of the locker room and shot 5 of 6 in the second half for 10 points.

Chayla Rutledge led the Ravens with seven points and Jackie Ziesel had six with a team-high six rebounds.
