TOPEKA, Kan. -- The Washburn Ichabod women's tennis team fell 7-2 to Emporia State in an MIAA contest at the Washburn Tennis Complex. The Ichabods will return to action in a non-conference match hosting Rockhurst on Thursday.

The Ichabods were down 2-1 after doubles play as Casyn Buchman and Nzingha Banks picked up an 8-4 win at No. 3 doubles. Buchman also picked up Washburn's other point winning her No. 3 singles match 6-3, 6-3 over Jennifer Gerhardt.
