TOPEKA, Kan. -- The Washburn Ichabod women's tennis team fell 5-4 to Northwest Missouri in their regular season finale. Washburn will open the MIAA Tournament on Friday against Northeastern State in Springfield, Mo.

Washburn was up 2-1 after doubles play after Casyn Buchman and Jodie Blackim won their match at No. 1 doubles and Nzingha Banks and Ashlynn Sutton won their match at No. 3 doubles.

The Ichabods' Kirsten Holle then picked up a three set win at No. 5 singles and Gwen Shepler picked up a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 6 singles.
