TOPEKA, Kan. -- The Washburn Ichabod women's tennis team split a pair of matches on Saturday afternoon at the Washburn Tennis Complex sweeping Lincoln 9-0 before falling to No. 30-ranked Augustana 7-2. Washburn will start a stretch of five matches over seven days starting at William Jewell on Monday.

In the first match of the day in a 9-0 sweep over Lincoln, Washburn dropped only four games in doubles play as the No. 1 team of Casyn Buchman and Jodie Blackim and the No. 3 team duo of Nzingha Banks and Ashylnn Sutton both picked up 8-0 victories. In singles play, the Ichabods won all six matches in straight sets leading to the victory.

Against No. 30-ranked Augustana, the Ichabods were down 3-0 after doubles action and picked up singles wins at No. 3 when Jodie Blackim topped Francesca Beg 6-1, 6-1 and Maria Moral Carretero 3-6, 7-6, 10-7.
