ST. CHARLES, Mo. -- The Washburn women's tennis team led 2-1 after doubles play but fell in four of six singles matches as they were topped 5-4 by Lindenwood on Wednesday. The Ichabods will return to action on Friday at Nebraska-Kearney and at Fort Hays State on Saturday.

Casyn Buchman and Jodie Blackim rolled over Alexandra Medvedeva and Gloria Marras 8-1 at No. 1 doubles and Sophie O'Neill and Nzingha Banks outlasted Diana Castro Clara Piccamiglio 9-7. 

In singles, Buchman picked up a 6-2, 6-3 win over Marras and Blackim won her match 6-1, 6-1 over Piccamiglio at No. 2 singles for the Ichabods third and fourth points of the afternoon.
