ABERDEEN, S.D. -- For the second-straight time the Washburn soccer team outshot its opponent but came up short in a 3-1 loss to Northern State. The Ichabods (0-2) will open their home slate at 6 p.m. on Tuesday against Rockhurst in Yager Stadium.

Washburn fell behind 3-0 after the Wolves scored all their goals in the first half scoring goals in the 17th, 23rd and 45th minutes.

Neither team would score until Audra Keehn scored her first collegiate goal on an assist from Jenna Cunninghman in the 77th minute off a corner kick.

Washburn outshot Northern State 12 to 10 including a 10 to 5 advantage in the second half. Washburn also had seven corner kicks compared to five for the Wolves.

Tori Fuglister had three saves for Washburn.
