PITTSBURG, Kan. – No. 14 Washburn Volleyball returned to its winning ways with a dominant 3-0 (25-15, 25-22, 25-19) sweep of Pittsburg State on Friday, Nov. 13.
Washburn (27-3, 14-3 MIAA) swung .287 as a team, putting three Ichabods in double-digits for kills and digs.
Ahead by three (11-8) in the first set, a kill from

The second set proved much closer, as WU's largest lead (five) came early at 14-9. That advantage came on the end of a 4-0 run for WU (the longest of the set) before PSU climbed back to make a one-point game at 15-14. WU never gave up the lead, but didn't lead by more than three the rest of the way, holding on for a 25-22 set two victory.
Down 1-0 after the first point of the third, WU ran off four unanswered and never looked back, staying in control the rest of the way towards a 25-19 win to seal the sweep.
With a 17-kill effort on the night, Willer lead the team and moved into the 15th spot on WU's career kills list, passing Hillary Hughes (2009-12). Willer, who has 1,184 career kills, now looks to pass current Ichabod assistant coach
Jessica Fey on the list, who finished her career with 1,211 kills. Willer swung .325 on the night to go with 13 digs for her 18th double-double of the night.
