SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The Washburn Ichabod women's tennis team fell 8-1 to No. 30-ranked Drury in its spring opener on Friday night. Washburn (1-1) returns to the court on Saturday to face McKendree.

Washburn's lone point came at No. 1 doubles when Ally Burr and Jodie Blackim topped Larissa Karl and Hadeil Ali 8-4. Drury swept singles play picking up six points leading to the 8-1 win.
