•   The Washburn Ichabod women's tennis team opens the MIAA Tournament as the No. 8 seed and they will take on No. 10-nationally ranked Northeastern State in the quarterfinals at 9 a.m. on April 29 in Springfield, Mo.
•   The Ichabods are 8-12 and 3-7 in the MIAA earning the No. 8 seed.
•   Northeastern State is ranked 10th in the nation with a 17-2 record and leads the all-time series with the Ichabods 12-0 … the RiverHawks have won their last 13 matches entering the MIAA postseason.
•   Washburn is 20-11 all-time in the MIAA Tournament and have won the conference tournament five times … Washburn's last MIAA tourney title was during the 2011-12 season.

Lance Lysaught is in his second season as the Ichabod women's head coach. He is 23-43 as a women's collegiate head coach in his fourth season and 12-26 at Washburn.
