TOPEKA, Kan. -- The No. 25-ranked Washburn Ichabods improved to 11-4 overall with an 8-1 win over McPherson on Sunday. The Ichabods will resume MIAA play when they will host Nebraska-Kearney on Tuesday.

Washburn jumped out to a 3-0 lead after doubles when Blake Hunter and Alejandro Valarezo Plaza topped Hector Carrillo and Joan-March Fajula 8-2 at No. 1 doubles and Matt Barlow and Zach Hampton picked up an 8-5 win over Hugo Ball and Ahmed Lahlou at No. 2 doubles. Trey Horton and Will Agritelley beat Timo Heotzman and Kurt Hurton 8-4 at No. 3 doubles.

In singles, Valarezo Plaza, Barlow, Hunter, Agritelley and Dario Munoz-Poletti all won their singles matches cruising to the win.
