TOPEKA, Kan. -- The men's junior varsity basketball team has now won five games in a row after defeating Kansas City Kansas Community College 66-57 on Monday.
AJ Pleasant led the team with 22 points behind a strong 11-13 effort at the free throw line to help take down the Blue Devils.
The Ichabods overcame a tough shooting night, going just 20-67 from the field, by gathering 14 offensive rebounds and forcing 15 Blue Devil turnovers.
The Ichabods also had a solid night from beyond the arc, hitting nine of 22 3-point attempts.
Spenser Wine and
Tommy Ekart were the other two Ichabods in double figures, with 12 and 11 points, respectively.
The Ichabods will look to continue their winning streak against Highland Community College at 5 p.m. Friday, as they travel to Overland Park, Kansas to take on the 6-4 Scotties.
