Scouting the Opponents
Northeastern State

Series history: The RiverHawks hold a 6-1 series advantage over the Ichabods since their first meeting in 2012. Washburn's one victory came last fall in the quarterfinal round of the MIAA Tournament when the Ichabods upset the 15-3 RiverHawks in a 1-0 shutout.

Scouting report: Northeastern State was tabbed third in the MIAA Coaches Preseason Poll and are off to a 6-5-1 start. They are coming off a 0-1-1 week with a loss to Central Missouri and a 2-2 draw against Lindenwood.

The RiverHawks are led in scoring by Mariah Nicolet, who has scored five goals. Four additional players have netted three goals. Paulina Chavez has recorded three assists.

Brennan Hockett has spent the majority of time in net for NSU. She has faced 135 shots, made 50 saves and allowed 19 goals.

Central Oklahoma
Series history: Washburn is 1-7-1 all-time against Central Oklahoma. The Ichabods are looking to snap a six game losing streak against the Bronchos.

Scouting report: Coming in at fifth on the MIAA Preseason Coaches Poll, the Central Oklahoma Bronchos have made a statement in the 2018 season. Head coach Mike Cook, who has been with the program since its inception in 1998, has led his team to a perfect season thus far. The Bronchos are currently ranked No. 11 in the nation.

With an offense that has outscored opponents 42-2, senior Katie Killion has led the charge for the Bronchos. She has recorded three hat trick games and is up to 17 goals on the season, which makes her the leading scorer in all of Division II. She has also handed out five assists. Asha Haile has the second-most scores for UCO with seven. 11 different players have scored at least one goal this season. Kelsie Eason leads the team with seven assists.

The Bronchos defense has been just as strong as their offense. Keeper Kelsi Gibson, a freshman, is 11-0 in net and has completed 10 shutouts. She has faced 41 shots and grabbed 18 saves while allowing just one goal. She holds a .947 save percentage and a 0.10 goals against average, both of which are the best marks in the nation.
