TOPEKA, Kan. -- The Washburn women's junior varsity team trailed by just one point heading into the fourth quarter, but the Highland Community College Scotties shot 11-12 from the floor and made 8-of-10 free throws in the final period to pull ahead and take the victory, 89-77. The Ichabods are now 3-2 on the season.
Washburn leaders
- Adyson Narber led the team in scoring with 23 points. She was 5-12 from the field and 12-20 from the charity stripe.
- Hayley Thompson tallied 15 points on 4-10 shooting from the floor and 7-8 from the free throw line. She also had seven rebounds and two steals.
- Jordan Lenherr added 11 points in the contest. She also pulled down a team-high eight rebounds.
- Kenya Medlock and Baylie Sigmund chipped in nine points apiece.
- Sigmund dished out three assists.
- The Ichabods out-rebounded the Scotties, 38-27.

The Ichabods will play continue their home stand into next week. They will take on the Blue Devils of Kansas City Kansas Community College on Monday, Dec. 3. The tip-off in Lee Arena is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
