TOPEKA, Kan. -- The Washburn men's junior varsity drained five three-pointers in the final 2:08 of the game, but the home team fell short against Fort Scott Community College on Wednesday night by the score of 66-61. The Ichabods fall to 4-5 on the season.
Washburn leaders
- Spenser Wine had an impressive shooting night from downtown. He was 6-of-11 from behind the arc and totaled 20 points in the contest.
- Tommy Ekart was 7-of-12 from the field and 3-of-6 from three-point range. He tallied 17 points and dished out a team-best four assists.
- Christian Scheopner was a perfect 4-4 from the charity stripe as he scored eight total points. He also was the top-rebounder, pulling down six boards.
- Jacob Spiegel blocked two shot attempts and had two steals.
- Michael Juneman led the team with three steals and also added four points.
- Washburn hit seven three-pointers in the final 4:36 of the game.
The Ichabods conclude the season on the road as they take on Kansas City Kansas Community College on Dec. 10. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
