Box Score TOPEKA, Kan. – The Washburn women's tennis team moved back to .500 Saturday after a clean sweep of Ottawa, winning its duals match against the Braves 9-0.
 
The No. 1 doubles team of Alexis Czapinski and Logan Morrisey, as well as the No. 3 doubles team of Ally Burr and MaKenna Gonzales, made quick work of their opposing doubles teams, with each Ichabod duo winning 8-1. The Braves' No. 2 doubles team of Nicole Robbins and Stephanie Rodriguez made themselves a much tougher out, as WU's Jacqueline Engelbrecht and Alysha Nowacki won 8-5.
 
The Ichabods displayed dominance in singles action as well, with each player winning in straight sets. Alysha Nowacki clinched the duals victory for the Ichabods when she defeated Ottawa's No. 4, Rodriguez, 6-1, 6-0. Five Ichabods shut their opponents out in at least one set, and Engelbrecht completely shut out her opponent out of the No. 3 slot, winning 6-0, 6-0.
 
With the win, the Ichabods are now 2-2 on the season. Their next match will be against Tabor College at 4:30 p.m. Feb. 24, in Topeka. For more information on the 2017-18 women's tennis season, visit wusports.com
