•   The Washburn women's tennis team has just one match this week, against Oklahoma Baptist on Saturday.
• The Bison are ranked fourth in the Central Region, five spots ahead of the Ichabods
• Washburn trails the all-time series with OBU 0-1, their only meeting coming last season, when the Bison defeated the Ichabods 6-3.

•   The Ichabods bounced back from a tough opening match against No. 12 Drury, beating McKendree 9-0 for their first victory of the season.
•   In the 1-8 loss to Drury,
Jacqueline Engelbrecht provided the lone victory for the Ichabods in No. 3 singles.
•   Against McKendree Saturday, they won the No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles by default due to the Bearcats traveling with just five players.

•   In the ITA preseason poll, the Ichabods are ranked No. 9 in the Central Region.
•   Two singles players find themselves in the ITA preseason regional rankings;
Alexis Czapinski debuts at No. 12 while
Logan Morrissey placed herself at No. 15
•   In regional doubles rankings, the team of Czapinski and Morrissey are ranked No. 5.

Logan Morrissey has moved up to the No. 2 spot.
•   After pairing with
Madeline Hill at the No. 1 doubles slot last season, Engelbrecht has found a new partner in freshman
Alysha Nowacki, playing No. 2 doubles.
 Successful Fall …
• The Ichabods had multiple first-place finishes in fall season tournaments, including sweeping each singles bracket at the Wheatstate Fall Classic.
•  Â
Alexis Czapinski also won the singles bracket in the Bearcat Invitational, hosted by Northwest Missouri State.
 Impressive ITA Showings …
•    Czapinski and Morrisey each made the round of 16 in the regional singles tournament, as well as the duo making it to the semifinal round of the doubles tournament.
 New Faces …                                                                   Â
•   The junior Czapinski made her spring debut last weekend, going 1-1 in doubles and singles action.
Freshman
Alysha Nowacki split her first singles and doubles matches as an Ichabod, finding her spot in No. 4 singles and No. 2 doubles.
The coaching staff has also seen an addition, as former Ichabod men's player and MVP
Matt Barlow joins the coaching ranks under head coach
Lance Lysaught. He is assisting both the men's and women's teams.
