Box Score TOPEKA, Kan. --- Washburn tied Newman, 2-2, after two overtimes on Fri., Oct. 18 at Yager Stadium. The Jets out shot the Ichabods 16-12 after 110 minutes of play. 

At the start of the first half, Newman got on the board first scoring in the third minute of the match to take lead of the Ichabods. The Ichabods responded quickly with a goal by Josie Rimmer in the low right corner with an assist from Whitney Bockover to tie the Jets, 1-1. Washburn out shot Newman 6-4 in the first half and tallied five shots on goal. Raegan Wells saved two shots taken by Newman. 

In the second half both teams came out aggressive. The first 25 minutes of the second half were scoreless and Newman out shot Washburn 4-1. Newman found the back of the net in the 74th minute off a rebound to take a 2-1 over the Ichabods. Washburn responded two shots on goal in a two minute span. Junior, Paige Ledesma, scored the game tying goal for the Ichabods in the 84th minute to send the match into overtime. Bockover tallied her second assist of the match. Reagan Wells finished regulation with eight saves. 

In the first overtime, Olivia Grasso took one shot for Washburn. Both teams were scoreless after ten minutes and headed into a second overtime. Raegan Wells saved all three shots on goal taken by the Jets in the second overtime. The Washburn defensive was led by Bockover and Emily Michaelis, who helped keep the Jets scoreless in the second overtime. At the end of the match Wells finished the match with a season high of 12 saves. Goals were scored by Rimmer and Ledesma each assisted by Bockover. Grasso tallied three shot attempts. 

Washburn soccer will host No. 24 Central Oklahoma on Sun., Oct. 20 at 1 p.m. at Yager Stadium.
