DALLAS -- The No. 25 Washburn men's tennis team quickly got back to their winning ways as they blanked the Dallas Baptist Patriots on Saturday afternoon with a 4-0 victory. The Ichabods improve to 4-2 on the season.

Washburn swept the doubles portion of the dual to take a 1-0 lead. The duos of Alejandro Valarezo Plaza/Paul Haase and Chase Brill/Marc Roura Casi each won their match, 6-3. At the third position, Bradley Eidenmueller and Raul-Alin Dicu posted a 6-1 win. 

A day after becoming Washburn's all-time singles leader, Valarezo Plaza made a push towards another historic feat as he tied the all-time doubles record with his 92nd win. He holds a career doubles record of 92-18 and needs just one more win to have sole possession of the category. 

In singles action, the Ichabods wasted no time clinching the dual by posting three-straight victories. Valarezo Plaza got things started at the top of the order with a 6-1, 6-4 win. Haase dropped just one set to his opponent en route to a 6-0, 6- victory. At the No. 6 slot, Roura Casi sealed the team victory with his 6-2, 6-1 performance. 
 
The Ichabods will play next in two weeks as they host Newman on Saturday, March 2. The dual match is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. at the Washburn Tennis Complex.
