SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The No. 20-ranked Washburn women's tennis team was swept, 7-0, by Drury on Sunday. Washburn is now 1-1 to start the season while Drury moves up to 2-0.

Washburn's lone win of the day came at No. 1 doubles as Logan Morrissey and Svea Crohn claimed a 6-3 victory. The Panthers won the doubles point by two 6-2 decisions on courts two and three.

At the top of the singles lineup for Washburn, Maria Soler Valverde and Crohn battled and forced their matches to go all three sets, but were unable to win the third frame. The Panthers won at the No. 3-6 slots in straight-sets over the Ichabods.

The Ichabods will host McKendree on Feb. 22 at 4 p.m. indoors at the Genesis Tennis Center in Topeka.
