WICHITA, Kan -- The Washburn men's tennis team continues its fall slate this weekend at the Sheldon Coleman Tennis Complex for the Wichita State Invitational
First matches will begin on October 9 at 9 a.m. Players will play a minimum of 2 singles matches each and scoring will be two sets with a tiebreaker. Players will also play a minimum of two doubles matches each and scoring will be a six-game no-ad set with a tiebreaker at six all
In the singles Round of 64, both
Matthew Earle and No. 9 seeded
Tim Hammes will have byes while
Sebastian Pjontek will face of against No. 16 Jackie Lin at 12 p.m and
Noah Neideck will compete against Jaydn Richardson at 10:30 a.m. Earle's opponent for the Round of 32 is decide as he will compete against Alexander Richards
In doubles, Neideck in his first appearance of the season will join forces with
Tim Hammes against Faris and Smith in the Round of 16. Pjontek and Earle will start with a bye and move directly into the quarterfinals. All doubles matches will begin on Saturday, October 9.
Including Wichita State and Washburn, players from Cowley County CC, University of Arkansas, Newman, Southwestern College, Bethany College, Barton County CC, etc. will also be competing
