Scouting Northwest Missouri State
» The Bearcats, under Marc Gordon, have turned the program around this season. In the previous two seasons, Northwest Missouri had a combined record 8-25-3 (5-13-2). The Bearcats ended the 2021 regular season with a 12-5-1 overall and 8-2-1 in conference. that record was good for third in the MIAA winning the tiebreaker over Central Oklahoma.

» The Bearcats finished the season winning the final four games including a huge win over Central Oklahoma
» Northwest Missouri also won seven of the last eight and shut out four teams

»  Blackburn is the player to pay close attention to, she leads the team in goals (9), points (22) and game-winning goals (5). She is second in shots (46), shots-on-goal (23) and assists (4)
»  She is fifth in the MIAA in goals and points and tied first in game-winning goals
»  Blackburn this season has scored the third most goals and points in a season in Bearcat history in just 10 starts
»  As a sophomore, she has already moved into fourth all-time in goals and tied fifth in points as a Bearcat
Sophomore Forward Kaylie Rock
»  Rock in her three years at Northwest Missouri averages almost four shots and two SOG per game
»  She leads the team this year again in shots (68) and SOG (33). Her 61 shots her freshman year was already in the top 10 for a season at Northwest. Her 68 is fourth and her 33 SOG is fifth for a season which is under herself with 34 in 2019.
