Box Score KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Ichabods have a bounce-back win over William Jewell, 6-1. It is Washburn's second victory over the Cardinals of the season. The Ichabods also defeated William Jewell, 7-0, back in October.

Once again, the women's team scored the doubles point to give them the 1-0 lead. That makes their last six matches in which they have earned the point in doubles competition. The Ichabods won all three of their doubles matches.

At. No. 3 doubles, Cadence Lynn and Sydnee Foster, did not give up a single set point to their opponent in a 6-0 win. Maja Jung and Kinsey Fields secured the first point of the match with their second doubles win in as many days, by a 6-1 score. Jung and Fields are 15-4, dating back to last season.

Isabella Martensson and Issabella Pensavalle finished the doubles sweep with a 6-2 victory. It was Pensavalle's first collegiate doubles match and her first win as well. It moves Martensson to 4-1 in doubles play.

In singles competition, Foster again did not give up a single point at the No. 6 spot. Foster won both her sets with a 6-0 score. Washburn got up 3-0 after Jung won in two sets, 6-3 and 6-2. The Cardinals got their lone point when Gwyn Gifford defeated Martensson at No. 1 singles. Martensson lost set one, 6-2, and then was up 4-1 in the second set before letting Gifford come back.

Lynn at No.4 singles gave the Ichabods their fourth point to assure the Washburn match win. Lynn defeated her opponent 6-2, 6-0.

Fields and Pensavalle had decisive victories for the fifth and sixth points. Fields went up 4-0 early in the first set and finished with a 6-1 score. She was also up in the second set, but it came down to the last point. Pensavalle led her first set 5-0 and then let up four in a row. She did not make the same mistake in the next set, winning it 6-0.

Washburn heads home for a scrimmage against Cowley County CC on Feb. 19 before traveling to Springfield, Mo. for matches against Illinois-Springfield and Drury on Feb. 26 and 27.
