Box Score TOPEKA, Kan. – The No. 21 Ichabods start their spring season with a 5-2 victory over William Woods (1-3). The Ichabods move to 2-0 on the young season.
 
In doubles competition, Central Region No. 5 doubles team Matthew Earle/Sebastian Pjontek swiftly won their match, 6-2, against the 13^th-ranked NAIA doubles team. Washburn took the early advantage after Raul-Alin Dicu and Noah Neideck won their doubles match, 6-4

In singles competition, the Owls' No. 2 Vaclav Schneider tied the score at one apiece. The Ichabods bounced back, winning from the one, three, and four spots for the win. Miquel Perez got it started as the No. 3 in the lineup, winning in three sets against the NAIA's 43rd ranked Ben Grumley. 
 
Dicu followed with a tight two-set win, and then Tim Hammes gave the Ichabods the win. Daniel Bird finished end the afternoon, winning 6-4, 6-0.
 
The Ichabods travel to Illinois for two matches next weekend. The first of those matches will be against No. 7 Indianapolis in O'Fallon on February 12 at 6:30 p.m.
