ROME, Ga. -- After day two of the ITA Cup the Ichabods will send one team through to the semifinals round in doubles as Matthew Earle and Tim Hammes advanced on the men's side Friday afternoon. The Ichabod duo is set for action on Saturday at 2:30 p.m.  

 In the East Draw of doubles Tim Hammes and Matthew Earle prevailed in three sets over Jorge Perez and Marcelo Pinto of the University of Charleston. They took the first set 6-1 before falling seven games to five in the second set and winning the third set tiebreaker 10-5.  

On the women's side of doubles in the East Draw Renske Ubachs and Daniela Tijaro had their run come to and end to Shaira River and Valentina Mutilba of West Alabama 6-4, 6-3.  

The morning began with the east draw of singles where Tim Hammes led off with a 6-4 win over Cas de Ruiter of Harding in the first set. The next two sets went the other direction, 6-2 and 6-3.  

In the West Draw for men's singles Vasek Schneider fell 6-1, 6-3 to Carel Wessel of the University of Texas at Tyler.  

Schneider and Tommy Cecchetti got revenge from the regional tournament in the West Draw of doubles, knocking off Phil Exner and Ramon Strassmann 6-0, 1-6 and 11-9 in the tiebreaker.  

In the West Draw of doubles on the women's side Isabella Martensson and Leo Floeth won 6-3 in their opening set before falling 6-2 in the second. The pair of seniors bounced back to win the third set tiebreaker 10-5.  

For day three of the tournament the schedule will remain the same with singles competition for all draws taking place in the morning before doubles competition resumes in the afternoon.
