TOPEKA, Kan. -- Renske Ubachs and Daniela Tijaro became the third pair of Ichabods to win the ITA Central Region Doubles Championship on Monday afternoon. The duo prevailed over Isabella Martensson and Leo Fleoth in two sets in the all-Washburn final.  

Ubachs and Tijaro created an early lead in the first set before Floeth and Martensson tied it up at four games apiece. The final two points of the set went back to Ubachs and Tijaro. They carried the momentum over into winning the first three games of the second set. Martensson and Floeth were able to tie the set at three but the next three all were won by Ubachs and Tijaro to claim the title. 

With the win Renske Ubachs and Daniela Tijaro clinch a spot in the ITA Cup played in Rome, Ga. from October 10-13. The remainder of the field will be selected at-large at a later date.
