PITTSBURG, KAN. - The Washburn Ichabod Soccer team completes an undefeated weekend in MIAA play with a 2-0 win over Pittsburg State.
"A great team performance from us today. We were able to force the game into places we felt comfortable in the first half, and in the second half, we grinded out an important team win. I'm so proud of the team for this weekend's performance," said Ichabod Head Coach

FIRST HALF
Washburn would break the deadlock in the 33rd minute by way of
Sam Searcey with her 3rd goal of the season. Washburn was held to 4 shots in the half, with two being on goal.
Lili Everley had one shot saved, Pitt State had 6 shots in the half.
SECOND HALF
Washburn would continue to defend their goal, and in the 84th minute,
Sam Searcey would score her 2nd of the game and 4th on the year to put away the gorillas. Washburn faced 13 shots from the Gorillas, and Everley would have 5 saves for a total of 6.
GAME NOTES
- Washburn is unbeaten in 7 straight games.
- The Ichabods have only allowed 1 goal in the last 7 games.
- Lili Everley recorded 6 saves in the game to record a shutout.
- Sophomore Sam Searcey had two goals to bring her season total to 4.
