ROME, Ga. -- Washburn's run in the ITA Cup came to an end Saturday afternoon as Renske Ubachs and Daniela Tijaro fell just short in the doubles semifinal round. The Ichabods will finish out the tournament with consolation matches on Sunday.  

Ubachs and Tijaro found themselves down one set to Dana Heiman and Aleksandra Anastasia of Barry after falling 6-3 to begin the dual. They bounced back with a swift 6-2 win in the second set to force a third. In the 10-point tiebreaker third they came up just short, falling 10-5 to end their tournament run in the ITA Cup semifinal round.  

They will compete in the 3-4 playoff tomorrow against Candice Bernier and Catherine Rabatin of Saint Leo University.  

In the consolation brackets, both Renske Ubachs and Pavlos Parson on the men's side picked up two-set victories on day three of the tournament.
