TOPEKA, KAN. – Washburn Soccer announces the signing of five new student-athletes who will join the Ichabods for the 2026 season. The class features five standout players from Kansas and Nebraska: Reese Huscher, Rose Madsen, Dayne Shriver, Haley Thomsen, & Ize Tidball.

"We are really excited about the initial group of this year's signing class. It's a group of players who are incredible people with outstanding character who will supplement and reinforce the amazing culture of our Washburn Soccer Family. This key characteristic correlates directly with them all coming from winning HS and club programs," said Head Coach Davy Phillips. "This year's class will continue to push our athleticism and quality on the ball forward. I anticipate all five of these ladies to come in and compete for opportunities right away."

Reese Huscher
F/MF | 5'7" | Topeka, Kan. | Hayden Catholic HS
Topeka native Huscher earned multiple All-State, All-League, and All-City honors while leading Hayden to a State Runner-Up finish, scoring 33 goals and adding 20 assists through three seasons for the Wildcats. Also a three-sport athlete, she excelled in volleyball and basketball
Personal: The daughter of Heather and Beau Huscher. Her father, Beau, played football at the University of Kansas… plans on majoring in Nursing

Roselynn Madsen
D | 5'8" | Lincoln, Neb. | Norris HS
Madsen, a Nebraska product, earned All-Conference and All-State Honorable Mention honors while guiding Norris to several postseason runs. She's also a three-time State Cup Champion, national qualifier, and was named among the Top 11 players in Nebraska.
Personal: Daughter of Jessica and Rod Madsen ... brother, Austin ... plans to major in Nursing

Dayne Shriver
D | 5'10" | Topeka, Kan. | Washburn Rural HS
Shriver joins Washburn after helping Washburn Rural capture the 2025 Class 6A State Championship. She earned Second Team All-State and First Team All-League honors.
Personal: The daughter of Heidi and Aaron Shriver… has two brothers, Hayden and Brigham. Her father, Aaron, ran track at Wichita State… plans on majoring in Business

Haley Thomsen
F | 5'9" | Lincoln, Neb. | Pius X Catholic HS 
Thomsen helped lead Pius X to back-to-back Class A State Runner-Up finishes after returning from injury her freshman year. A three-time Nebraska State Cup Champion.
Personal: Daughter of Laura and Jason Thomsen ... has two sisters, Avery and Brooke, and a brother, Blake ... plans to major in Elementary Education 

Ize Tidball
GK | 5'7" | Cortland, Neb. | Norris HS
Tidball was a four-year standout at Norris High, earning All-State and All-Conference honors. She helped the Titans to multiple state tournament runs, including a Class B State Runner-Up finish, and is a four-time Nebraska Cup Champion.
Personal: Daughter of Kimberley and Micheal Tidball ... has two sisters, Adelaine and Suziana ... plans to major in Pre-Med
