TOPEKA, KAN. - For the third straight season, the Washburn Soccer team has made the NCAA Tournament, this time as the No. 4 seed in the Central Region. It is the fifth-ever appearance in the tournament for the Ichabods; they will square off against No. 5-seeded Missouri Western in the First Round in Mankato, Minn., on Friday, November 21st at 10 AM CT.

Washburn is 11-3-5 heading into the tournament, where they were runners-up in the MIAA during the regular season.

Missouri Western is 12-2-7 overall and was an automatic qualifier for the tournament after it won the MIAA Conference Tournament on Saturday.

The MIAA Conference had four teams get into the tournament, with Washburn being the highest seeded, with No. 5 Missouri Western, No. 6 Pittsburg State, and No. 7 Central Missouri.

Hosts No. 1 seed Minnesota State Mankato will play No. 8 seed Harding on Friday as well, with that match starting at 1 PM CT. The Winners of each matchup will face off on Sunday, November 23rd at 1 PM CT.
