KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Washburn women's basketball had six players named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll announced by the conference office on Thursday afternoon.  

To be eligible for the MIAA Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher and have attended at least two semesters at the current institution. 

The Ichabods named to the honor roll are: Madelyn Amekporfor (Marketing), Gabi Giovannetti (Health Services Administration), Nia McKenzie (Psychology), Yiibari Nwidadah (Biology), Rebecca Snyder (Forensic Investigation) and Aniah Wayne (Kinesiology).  

There were 81 total women's basketball student-athletes named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll, with 17 Scholar-Athletes and 14 earning Academic Excellence honors.   

Awards for transfer student-athletes and freshmen award winners will be announced at the end of the academic season in June.
