KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Propelled by four MIAA regular season championships, the Washburn athletic program finished a program-best second in the MIAA Commissioner's Cup, presented by Impact Signs, final standings.
The Ichabods had 10.97 points placing second behind Pittsburg State who recorded 12.04 points. Central Oklahoma was third and Central Missouri was fourth.
Washburn had MIAA titles in men's basketball, soccer, and men's and women's tennis this season. Washburn's athletic program has improved each year since the 2021-22 season after finishing sixth, moving to fifth the following year, fourth in 2023-24 and second this season.
