TEMPE, Ariz. -- Washburn women's tennis ends the 2024-25 season with a No. 18 ranking in the ITA computerized rankings released on Friday afternoon by the organization. The Ichabods also had a pair of doubles teams ranked along with one player in singles.
Washburn finished the season 17-4 overall after posting a 7-1 record inside the MIAA to win a share of the conference Regular Season Championship. They fell in the semifinal round of the conference tournament before qualifying for the NCAA Tournament where the season came to an end in the Central Region Finals.
Finishing at the top of the final rankings of the season was the national champion, Barry, followed by the runner-up Nova Southeastern. Around the conference Nebraska Kearney finished at No. 23, Northwest Missouri at No. 33 and Central Oklahoma checking in at No. 48.
On the doubles side of the rankings Renske Ubachs and Daniela Tijaro remain in the top-10 finishing at No. 8 in the nation. Also in the rankings for what they did in the fall are Leo Floeth and Isabella Martensson who check in at No. 37. In singles, Renske Ubachs finishes the season ranked No. 22 in the nation after beginning the year outside the top-75.
