TOPEKA, Kan. -- Washburn women's tennis finished a dominant showing on the second and final day of the Washburn Invite. After wrapping the fall home opener, the Ichabods will play at the ITA Central Region Tournament beginning Friday, Sept. 19 in Edmond, Okla. 

In the main draw for doubles Renske Ubachs and Daniela Tijaro pulled away late to win an 8-7(4) battle. Saajida Razick and Riko Konno moved much quicker, winning 8-1. The would-be all-Washburn championship match was abandoned.  

With all original draw pairings being abandoned for singles, some of the Ichabods competed in extra singles matches. Maddie Shelley, Daniela Tijaro, Jasel Bailey and Riko Konno each picked up a two-set singles victory on the day.
