TOPEKA, KAN. – Washburn Soccer closes out its weekend homestand on Sunday afternoon when it hosts Ouachita Baptist at Yager Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 PM.
Washburn faced Harding Friday evening in the first match of the homestand. The Ichabods won 2-0 with goals from
Kate Hinck, who scored her first goal of her college career, and
Sam Searcey added to the Washburn lead with her second goal of the season. The Ichabods are 2-2-1 entering Sunday's match.
The Ichabods are averaging 11.6 shots per game while allowing 8. Washburn has put 26 of 58 shots on target so far this season, while opponents have recorded 19 of 40.
ABOUT OUACHITA BAPTIST
The Tigers enter the weekend with a 1-2 record to start the 2025 campaign. Ouachita picked up a 3-0 win over Southwest Baptist earlier this season and dropped contests to Texas Woman's and Harding. Last fall, the Tigers finished 6-10-2 overall and fell in the opening round of the GAC Tournament to Harding.
