TOPEKA, Kan. -- Washburn's Dillon Claussen from the Ichabod men's basketball program and Payton Sterk from Ichabod women's program have been named the Hy-Vee Student Athletes of the Week for their performances last week ending on Jan. 25.

Dillon Claussen averaged 18 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 2.0 apg in two wins last week over Northwest Missouri and Missouri Western. Against the Bearcats, he scored 18 points of 4 of 5 shooting while hitting 10 of 10 free throw attempts. Against the Griffons, he was 7 of 10 from the field hitting his only 3-pointer with six boards and two assists.

Payton Sterk led the Ichabod offense to a pair of home victories last week scoring 19.0 ppg on 51.8% shooting from the floor overall and 41.7% from deep with five connections. The senior also added four rebounds and a steal. In the win over Missouri Western she scored a season-high 22 points including 20 in the first half while shooting 7-14 from the floor overall and 4-8 from deep.
