Eight Ichabods named to CSC Academic All-District Squad

TOPEKA, Kan. – The Washburn Ichabod football team had eight student-athletes named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team, the organization announced Tuesday. Jordan Finnesy, J.C. Heim, Ty Weber, Kamble Haverkamp, Henry Mohrmann, Logan Madden, Jaren Heim and Trenton Brehm were all honored on the team and Haverkamp and J.C. Heim will move on to the national ballot.

Ty Weber – Tight End – Business
Played in seven games making four starts... was a team captain... had seven receptions for 65 yards and a touchdown.

J.C. Heim – Linebacker – Business
Started all 11 games ... made 142 tackles which led the MIAA & was second in the nation ... Third in the nation in solo tackles with 71 ... seven tackles for loss ... one sack, one interception ... two forced fumbles & one fumble recovery ... was a team captain ... All-MIAA Second Team.

Kamble Haverkamp – Defensive Back – Kinesiology
Started all 11 games at safety... made 76 tackles with 56 of them being solos... 11.5 tackles for loss... 5.5 sacks... four interceptions & four fumble recovers... All-MIAA First Team... D2CCA All-Region Second Team.

Jaren Heim – Linebacker - Business Management/Entrepreneurship
Played in nine games ... made 20 tackles with 10 solos ... had two tackles for loss.

Trenton Brehm – Placekicker – Kinesiology
Played in all 11 games on kickoff duties... averaged 55.8 yards per kickoff with 12 touchbacks.

Logan Madden – Quarterback – Business
Played in seven games making five starts in his Redshirt Freshman season ... completed 117 of 202 passes for 1163 yards ... threw for eight touchdowns ... run for 91 yards on 37 attempts and one touchdown.

Jordan Finnesy – Safety – Marketing
Started all 11 games at safety, was team captain ... made 67 tackles with 41 of them being solos... had three inceptions and broke up 5 passes... recorded a season high with 9 tackles, 7 of which were solos, and had two inceptions all against Central Missouri... named All-MIAA Honorable Mention defensive back.

Henry Mohrmann – Tight End – Business
Played in all 11 games making six starts ... made 22 catches for 251 yards and five touchdowns ... caught his first two touchdowns of his career against Colorado School of Mines ... had a season-high in receiving yards with 56 against Central Missouri ... was named All-MIAA Honorable Mention.

The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes football honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
