KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Washburn defender Rilyn Snyder has been named the MIAA Women's Soccer Defender of the Week on Tuesday. 

Snyder recorded a shot on goal in a 0-0 draw at No. 19 Central Missouri last Friday and helped the Ichabods to their 10^thshutout as a team in 2026. 

Snyder is the fourth Ichabod to earn MIAA Athlete of the Week honors this season and is the second consecutive Washburn player to win Defender of the Week, following Lindsey Maul last week.

Washburn travels to Newman for their regular season finale on Wednesday at 6 p.m., before hosting a MIAA Championship Tournament Quarterfinal match on Sunday at 1 p.m. against an opponent to be decided.
