TOPEKA, Kan. -- Washburn Ichabod women's basketball was included in the first NCAA Regional Rankings released Wednesday afternoon by the organization. In the first release of rankings all teams included are ordered alphabetically, teams will be ranked in the next set of rankings released next week.

Washburn is included in the poll entering the week with a 17-7 record overall and a 16-6 mark against regional opponents. Ten teams are included in the regional rankings while eight will advance into the NCAA Regional Tournament.  

Three teams from the MIAA are included in the rankings with Central Missouri and Fort Hays State joining Washburn. The NSIC is represented by Concordia-St. Paul, Mary, Minnesota Duluth and Minnesota State. The remaining three teams, Arkansas Tech, Harding and Northwestern Oklahoma come from the GAC.  

The Ichabods are on the road for the final time in the regular season this week beginning by facing Central Oklahoma on Thursday, Feb. 19 at 5:30 p.m.  

A new set of rankings will be released next Wednesday, February 25.
