KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Washburn's Jasel Bailey was named the MIAA Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week presented by ClassicCourt on Wednesday afternoon by the conference. 

Jasel Bailey earns the honor for the first time in her career after helping then No. 11 ranked Washburn to a 4-2 win over then No. 8 Midwestern State. Bailey went 2-0 in the match teaming with Saajida Razick to win 6-1 at No. 3 doubles as the only Ichabod duo to win in doubles. In singles play she won in three sets, 3-6, 6-1, 6-3, at No. 4 singles to clinch the final point of the match for Washburn.  

Bailey and the now No. 9 ranked Ichabods take the court next on Friday, Feb. 27 in an exhibition against Pratt CC beginning at 11 a.m.
