Ichabod men ranked No. 8, women at No. 12 in latest ITA rankings

TEMPE, Ariz. -- Washburn remains ranked inside the top-15 in both the men's and women's rankings released by the ITA on Wednesday afternoon. The Ichabod men are ranked No. 8 while the women's squad is slotted at No. 12.  

The Washburn men have won five straight matches and are 10-5 overall and 1-0 in MIAA/GAC north division action. They move down three spots to No. 8 in the latest rankings. West Florida sits at the top spot of the rankings. Around the conference Nebraska Kearney is ranked No. 32, Ouachita Baptist sits at No. 35 and Harding is ranked No. 41.  

In the singles rankings Tommy Cecchetti is slotted at No. 26 in the nation with Pavlos Parson just behind at No. 31. Kilian Martinez has moved up to No. 36 and Yuto Miyagawa is ranked No. 54 around the country.  

Zino Nahirniak and Benjamin Fock continue to move up the rankings to No. 14 in doubles. Tommy Cecchetti and Pavlos Parson enter the rankings at No. 33 nationally.  

Ichabod women's tennis has also won five matches in a row, making them 9-2 on the year. They move two spots down the rankings to No. 12 in the nation. Barry controls the top spot in the nation. No other team in the MIAA is ranked inside the top-50. 

On the singles side, Renske Ubachs is ranked No. 15 in the nation while Riko Konno is slotted at No. 47. In doubles, Renske Ubachs and Daniela Tijaro are ranked No. 12 in the nation.  

Both teams will return to the court on Friday, March 27 taking on Newman on the road in Wichita, Kan.
