TOPEKA, Kan. -- Washburn's Angelina Borg-Malec from Ichabod golf and Maclane Finley from Ichabod baseball have been named the Hy-Vee Student Athletes of the Week for their performances last week ending on March 29.

Angelina Borg-Malec tied for third place last week at Washburn's first-ever Women's home tournament, the Firekeeper Open at Firekeeper Golf Course & Resort. She shot 5-over during the 54-hole tournament, including a 71(-1) in the final round. It is the second time in three weeks that Borg-Malec was named MIAA Golfer of the Week, and the third time in school history.

Maclane Finley helped secure a series win for the Ichabods tossing 6.0 innings in a 11-2 win over Northeastern State in the rubber match on Sunday. Finley struck out six while allowing two earned runs on six hits in the win. Finley has thrown at least five innings in seven of his eight starts this season.
